MORNING GLORY **½

Roger Michell directed this Comedy. Watch Preview. Cast: Rachel McAdams, Harrison Ford, Diane Keaton, Patrick Wilson, Jeff Goldblum. Rated PG-13 for some sexual content including dialogue, language and brief drug references. Running time is one hour and forty-two minutes.

A hard–working TV producer (McAdams) is fired from a local news program but finds a job at "Daybreak" (the last–place national morning news show). When she decides to revitalize the show by bringing on a legendary TV anchor (Ford) and pairing him with a co–host (Keaton), she is soon struggling to save her romantic relationship, her reputation, her job and ultimately, the show itself.

This is a very predictable comedy that will be enjoyed mostly by the over 35 crowd, although the pacing is sprightly enough for a younger crowd and McAdams is popular with them also. For those of us who are older, the pleasure comes in watching an extremely good cast take us through a familiar story. Ford is very good in his curmudgeon role, Keaton is good as his female counterpoint and McAdams adds zest to the plot. The aforementioned pacing is very good and keeps you from needing to constantly check your watch. This isn't an award winner but it will keep you entertained for a couple of hours. Theatres/Times.
